Apples? Oranges? No way. Bananas and melons are definitely winning the competition! While bananas and melons are on an upswing, apples and oranges are going down...

If you look at all the fruits and set the visualization to relative rates of growth, you see what seems to be the dominating rise of the mango. But maybe it's stabilizing.

Also, it's strange that cantaloupe, grapefruit, etc are separate from the generic label "melons". Are there data classification issues here?

The only two fruits to go down significantly are oranges and grapefruits. Are we losing our taste for citrus, or is there some other reason related to agriculture, or government subsidies, or ease of transporting these fruits?
