I'm surprised New Mexico has a higher donation rate than Arizona, given McCain's presence in the race. Then again, maybe most of the dollars have been flowing to Democrats.

It seems also surprising that the top tier states does not include calif. Not sure what it says other than its interesting.

California is huge with lots of low income workers. New Mexico has lots of rocket scientists and ties to govt funding.
