Visualizations : artists and metal tags

I think this is a very effective visualization. It is very intuitive and easy to tell how the placement of a band relates to the categories. For example, Avenged Sevenfold is associated with Metal, Hardcore, and Hard Rock, but it is easy to see that they are considered more Metal since the node is the closest to the Metal genre. The opacity of the blue circle allows you to see the lines underneath, reducing the amount of occlusion. The interaction is very intuitive and effective with this visualization. When you click on a node, be it a band or a genre, the related arcs and nodes are highlighted in yellow which is an opposing color to the original blue. The uniformity in color and size of the band nodes ensures that no false data is presented.
