This map doesn’t show the high number of island countries with a rating over 400; i.e., Bermuda, Palau, Cuba, Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Maldive Islands, St. Kitts & Nevis and Bermuda.

The rate of 714 for the U.S. is probably too high.

According to The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Public Safety Performance Project Report:
The U.S. prison incarceration rate will continue to grow, from 491 per 100,000 U.S. residents in 2005 to 511 in 2006, then to 550 in 2011.

The political Basque prisoners are 750. They were dispersed in more of 80 jails. Every weekend, their families give 20 turns around the earth, while they go and they return of the jails. On a population of 3 million inhabitants, 750 political prisoners are a lot. Proportionally, as if in Spain there was 10.000 political prisoners. Basques live under an exception state.

“On a population of 3 million inhabitants, 750 political prisoners are a lot”

that just told us there are too many people in the Basque country killing for political reasons instead of trying to get a proper sexual life. We all know the problem in Basque country is a sexual problem, not a political problem.

Political prisioners != killers & terrorists

Even then, i agree with you about the prisoners dispersion.

The number of basque political prisoners is exactly zero.
Convicted murderers of men, women, and children are not political prisoners, are just abominable coward criminals.

Nobody in Spain gets in jail because of political ideas since late seventies, when we switched to democracy.

Please donĀ“t give credit to bullshit about “basque political prisoners”. For more information, look for “ETA” in wikipedia or any other source.
