Hi, in fact in your graph the patents are in absolute value, not per million population. The American researchers register much more patents than Finland or Switzerland, but relative to their population those two countries file about 2x as much as the US!

Great idea but the legends/explanations need to be improved. For example, I can't see an explanation what "FTE" means (or ICT)...
